Sam Rappaport grew up believing that he was headed for a career in the NBA. But when that didn't work out, he decided to turn to music. It was at Brooklyn open mics, house parties, and comedy shows that Sam began to gain his footing as a songwriter able to pull from folk, rock, and soul to craft intimate, understated arrangements. He resides in Brooklyn with his dog, Sophie.
